The administration tools component includes three tabular panels, each one is connected with a functional tree. Inside these panels administrator, user and DICOM server settings are available.
In the Admin Panel the following settings can be done:
Password - admin password;
MIME - edit MIME type table used for recognizing applications;
PGP - generate, edit and delete PGP keys;
Ini File - edit the DBridge.ini file;
Routing - monitor the data routing;
Backup - manage databases backup.
Note: all changes are made in the ini file will be accepted after restarting the DBridge software.
The DBridge supports three types of users: admin, automatic user and manual user.
An admin user is a unique user and he/she can work only with Administrator Tools. All transactions of data are blocked for this kind of user.
An Automatic user is a user that is able to obtain data from Dicom servers and sends this data to one receiver called Partner by e-mail. Because automatic users have not they own e-mail addresses, one manual user is assigned for each automatic user as a sender.
A Manual user is a user that has one or more e-mail boxes, can obtain from and send data to Dicom servers.
When administrator presses the Add button, a dialog appears to select a type of the created user.
Note. You are not able to create an automatic user if there is no created manual one.
User Login – a name of the user, used to make login.
Password – the login password.
Name – identification name of the user.
SMTP servers – a list of servers used to send date over e-mail.
POP3/IMAP servers – a list of servers used to receive data from Partners over e-mail.
Address book of Recipients – a list of e-mail addresses. The user can send data as e-mails to these recipients.
Note: Apply button is active only when all fields are filled out.
All information is presented in table structures. The administrator is able to create, edit or remove table rows using semantically connected buttons under the tables.
User login – an identification name of the user.
Select Master User – a manual user and his one SMTP server used to send data over e-mail.
Recipient Address – an e-mail address of a Partner, who will obtain messages.
Public Key – a GPG key used for data encryption.
Time Out – a time period between transactions (in minutes).
Note: to select a public key, at least one GPG key must be created.
A Dicom Server mentioned in the ini fike is used as a default server. Administrator can add/edit or delete a selected server.
Add – create a new server;
Remove – remove the server from the local database;
Copy - create a new server and copy all fields from the selected one.
Note: Contact to your network administrator to setup correctly parameters of Dicom servers used in your institution.
The routing table shows for the administrator the actual routing between automatic users and their recipients. An internal DICOM server sends data to an automatic user, using the name of the user as the AETitle. Further the data are encrypted and are sent to the recipient using a mail account of a selected master user (a manual user). All replies will be received by the master user.
The administrator can delete or duplicate the routing. Additionally the mail server of the mail receiver can by checked out by the button Ping Route. The green LED indicator shows a status of the table: green – no changes are required to being saved, red – changes are not saved. Note: these function are experimental.
The DBridge software supports two local databases for storing user data (users.dbu) and DICOM server data (servers.dbu). Both databases depends on the current version of the database. Therefore, before updating the DBridge software, it is necessary to backup your local databases into XML files. After installing the software, you fill receive a message about non-compatible database version, if the current database version is differ from the number stored into these files. In this case, new local databases will be created. You can restore all data using Backup-Restore function of the administrator GUI.
